The Job We're hiring a Fire Alarm Inspector to handle routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on commercial fire alarm systems. You'll work across a range of manufacturers' equipment, not just one brand. Day to day, you'll work with low-voltage wiring and the devices that run on it, keep a tight inspection schedule, and document everything as you go. You'll log service acknowledgements with the correct coding through a laptop or on paper, and you'll upload, pull up, and file inspection records from a mobile device. Staying on schedule matters here, so reliable time management is a must.

About the Role

Pay: $30 - $35 per hour, set by your experience, skills, and certifications, with room to go higher for the right candidate. Comes with a full benefits package.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Test and inspect fire alarm systems for both existing and new customers
  • Keep accurate records of your work using the tools we provide
  • Follow all company safety policies, plus verbal and written instructions
  • Work in tight or awkward spots, including on ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment
  • Cover alternate shifts or weekends when customers need it
  • Keep your work area clean and safe, and carry yourself professionally at all times
  • Take on other tasks as they come up

What You'll Bring

  • Hands-on experience installing or servicing fire alarm equipment, including testing and inspection
  • Ideally you will hold a NICET qualification - Level II is ideal
  • The drive to work on your own with little supervision
  • Strong organization, a good attitude, and a quick learning curve
  • The physical ability to handle hands-on labor
  • Clear communication and the ability to work well with a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort using a smartphone
